Chef Steve Konopelski is a couture wedding cake designer whose creations are true works of art. Trained at the prestigious French Culinary Institute, Chef Steve approaches each wedding cake as a unique expression of the bride and groom.
Hosting a bridal shower at Turnbridge Point is a breeze. Our catering menu provides a variety of options that incorporate fresh, seasonal ingredients. The casually elegant décor of our fully renovated historic home makes decorating easy. Just add a few personal touches to honor the bride, and you’ll be all set. When the shower is over, leave the clean-up to us.
We can accommodate showers of up to 30 guests indoors. You may also host your shower on the Turnbridge Point lawn, which overlooks the scenic Choptank River. This beautiful outdoor setting can accommodate up to 80 guests.
If you have guests traveling to the shower, they may stay onsite in the Turnbridge Point Bed & Breakfast. The B&B offers five rooms that accommodate up to ten guests.
Turnbridge Point is the perfect place for a getaway to celebrate the betrothed! The entire property may be reserved for a fabulous bachelor or bachelorette weekend. The B&B accommodates up to ten overnight guests, and other guests may join you in the public rooms and outdoor spaces on the property.
Sample weekend itinerary:
Friday night: Arrive at Turnbridge Point and indulge in a special treat at check-in. Enjoy an evening of fine dining at Harry’s on the Green, just a short walk away.
Saturday: Begin the day with a delicious breakfast prepared by Chef Steve Konopelski. Then join Chef Steve at the Chesapeake Culinary Center for a private baking or cooking class. Pack up the food you’ve prepared and enjoy a picnic lunch on the Turnbridge Point lawn overlooking the Choptank River. Spend the afternoon at Defining Moments indulging in a spa package with friends, or head out to explore the historic small towns just a short drive away. After dinner, stroll over to the Market Street Public House to toast the groom with some Irish whiskey (complete with a bourbon cigar), or head to 404 Taphouse and raise a glass to the bride.
Sunday: Enjoy another fabulous breakfast prepared by Chef Steve. Spend a relaxing morning together at your leisure before checkout.
Turnbridge Point offers a beautiful outdoor, waterfront venue that can accommodate small gatherings. Stunning views of the Choptank River provide a serene backdrop for your elopement wedding.
We will work with you to design the perfect layout for your intimate gathering that creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Catering is available directly through Turnbridge Point or in partnership with your preferred caterer. Chef Steve Konopelski will work with you to design the wedding cake of your dreams and dessert menu. We can also connect you with a variety of other local wedding services, such as photographers, lighting designers, and florists.

We definitely recommend that you book your wedding cake as soon as possible. A minimum of four months is required for a simple design. Additional time may be needed for more complex designs, or if your wedding will take place during the busiest months of the summer and fall wedding seasons.
Every Steve Konopelski wedding cake is a one-of-a-kind creation, so each cake must be quoted individually. Pricing can vary significantly depending on the complexity of design and number of servings. Pricing begins at $6.50 per serving for a simple design.
We deliver our wedding cakes to a broad area that includes the entire Eastern Shore of Maryland, Annapolis, Baltimore, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, and Maryland and Delaware beaches. We also offer extended delivery throughout the entire Mid-Atlantic region. Our quote will include the cost of delivery to your wedding venue.
The best way to begin planning your wedding cake is to contact Chef Steve with basic information about your wedding. Chef Steve will then schedule a call to discuss the details of your wedding in greater depth. He also recommends that you start a Pinterest board with inspiration photos of cakes you like, as well as photos of your attire, décor, venue, and anything else that will help him get a good feel for your entire event. You’ll then meet with Chef Steve one-on-one to review sketches of cake concepts that are designed specifically for your wedding. Once you have signed off on a sketch and agreed to the quote, a 50% deposit will reserve your date. When the big day finally arrives, your wedding cake will be delivered and beautifully staged at your venue.
Absolutely! The groom’s cake is typically smaller and is designed to reflect the interests and personality of the groom. Because it is a separate cake, it can incorporate the groom’s favorite flavors – even if those flavors are a bit unusual! Surprise your beloved with the gift of a groom’s cake. We love working with our clients to create the perfect cake to honor their grooms.
Yes! We love designing personal, unique cakes for all types of occasions. A custom cake is a fantastic way to honor a special guest or mark a milestone event. We’ll work with you to create a delicious cake based on the interests and personality of the guest of honor. Absolutely. In fact, we think it’s a great idea to offer a few different dessert options at your wedding. Your guests will appreciate having choices, and you may be able to scale back the size of your wedding cake. Sometimes a smaller wedding cake allows for even more creativity and personalization. It is important to understand, however, that a smaller cake with additional dessert options may not reduce your overall cost. The total cost will depend on the types of desserts you choose and the complexity of your wedding cake design.
